Ch. 15: Lost and Return

"Science facility? I think we've found what you might be interested in." Jon Marsh spoke on the phone to someone in charge of the Landgraab Science Facility. The man whom he spoke to barely able to see him, but he could hear the excitement in John's voice. Yes, the man had heard correctly. Jon Marsh had finally able to smile again after what had happened to him.

Several hours before,  he and his friend, Josh Hamilton, were found by the police sitting in their boat, reprimanding themselves for what had happened to them. Everything had gone out of their plans and what's left of the convict were only her clothes scattered around the deck.

"At least we can go back in and check it out. Maybe it's a treasure , mate."

Josh nodded, but did not elaborate, too tired to tell Jon that they were not in "Pirate of Carribean" movies. But, he was  helpless to say no to his buddy. Together, they dived the sea and Josh only hoped that Jon's words were true or he's going to knock Jon's head  with a hammer for making him go through such trouble.

This time Jon was right, though. Back on the surface, Josh had to admit it to his buddy for ten years. 

They called another boat to pull it out and as the thing they found at the bottom of the sea reached the surface, Josh could not help but stared at the electro-mechanical machine. " Like in Transformer movie, huh?"

Jon's words were proven to be true and that's why he's making that phone call. 

"Okay,  please hold, we're going to connect you to a line..."

Jon waited,  drumming his palm on his thigh and was crossing his fingers tightly.  Hopefully, their finding could redeem what they have lost, but still he could not figure out all the puzzles lingered in. What else could he say? She's gorgeous, too deliciously beautiful to look at, and all they were did were just trying to fill in the empty afternoon with a little party on their boat, even though - minutes before it got started—he could see  obvious signs that no one would come... not even one, except... her. 

The disastrous woman.

"It's a failed party." Jon muttered. His shirt unbuttoned. Hot breeze tormented his skin. It was in the month of July, a perfect time for a beach party. Instead of collapsing in fun,  he stood on his boat, plucking his guitar,  the **am old guitar, he sighed, and the worse thing was.. there's only his idiot friend whenever he glanced around: same old boring face... no women... no buzz.

The strings of his guitar chimed a higher pitch as it vibrated inordinately. Jon let out a harsh sigh, remembering  the wasted bottles of wine he had bought the day before and the long list of chicks he had called. It wasn't supposed to turn out this way. It was the total opposite. No one --nope--  no woman  had ever  turned him down before.

"Maybe they're scared of you, Josh?" He gleefully blamed all the faults to his old friend. "You tend to freak them out whenever they touched your paintings. I do my paintings, but  never was too obsessed like you, mate."

The friend he addressed to only murmured. He had not bothered to respond, nor he had cared to the  fluttering of  his golden hair by the blow of the sea breeze. His shirt  dowdy, tainted by  tint of orange and green. He turned around only to glance at the light tower, and then back again piercing his eyes at the canvas  in front of him  filled with the same colors tainted on his shirt.  Jon knew it had to be the same shirt his friend had worn the day before.  He could not comprehend the reason he's still able to stand to Josh's ugly habits especially remembering all the dirty clothes and plates scattered around their boat, but nope... it had to be his cooking. “At least cook  a dinner for me again, will you, mate?”

Josh did not answer nor nodded.

Jon should have known that his buddy would refuse to be bothered when he was doing his paintings, but still he should have put more thoughts on their plans since it was obvious that they would  have to spend the whole month  without women by their sides, and it would be a disaster!. Jon could not understand why, but most women avoided him lately,  except for the fact of how often he had mistaken one for the other...  mostly in bed. Slaps on his cheek were the proofs.

" At least I still have this guitar with me, so be it." Jon strummed his guitar  and poignantly sang. "No woman, no cry..." This time, Josh chuckled.

“Shouldn't it be the opposite?”

Jon stopped plucking his guitar. The heaven must have answered his prayer for a woman had beautifully perched on their boat.  Yet, as he quickly glanced at her, it wasn't heaven who had answered him after all .. for the woman was Marta! Hell was playing trick on him again as though he had not suffered enough. 

"M-Marta? What are you doing here?" Jon hid his guitar behind him.  A flash of memory lurked in - a memory of a nice slap after his failed attempt for a hot date with her.

"I heard y'all  boys held a party, so I decided to join the hips." A grin spread across Marta's  face.

"Yeah, wanna join us? You look stunning as always, Marta." No matter how sassy she was, the woman was irresistible. He didn't know if it was her hair, her eyes, or her legs, but he would give anything to have one night with her.

"You're out of luck." Josh mingled in. "No one comes." 

"Sssh..! " That time, Jon just wanted to shut Josh's mouth and lock him in his closet.

" Ouch! That's bad, guys, but I'm in the mood for a dive. Care to join?" Marta smiled. Turning around to embrace the sea, she grasped her shirt and let her skin to be exposed by the glow of the moonlight.

"Aah... " Jon covered his mouth like a 10 year old boy who never saw a woman undressed before.  It was more than he  expected nor Josh could figure out. They have seen a few women in bare skin before, but never did they met a woman like her.  It appeared that she did it only to please herself -- and oh, she's gorgeous. Her skin appeared delicately smooth-- one that Jon had tried to prove from a long time. Her womanly figures looked excruciatingly alluring--, if they could only freeze her so they could capture her perfectness into the canvas, but neither of them seemed to be in a rush to grab their brushes. Even Josh had dropped his palette... and Jon ... he couldn't think of a lyric to describe Marta's beauty.

As the boys could not take his eyes off her, Marta stepped toward the fence bar, hopped onto it,  one foot clung t while the other swirled freely in the air. A pure talented gymnast,  she was.

 With her chin held up high, she spread her hands across the sky, embracing the winds stroking her face, reaching every inches of her  body.

 Twirling around, she  dived into the deep sea. Jon gulped for air. His palms sweat harder. His heart beat  faster. " She's so hot!" This time, he could not see her for she had dived into the sea.

"What's wrong, boys?"  Martha suddenly emerged . "Tweezers got your tongues, huh? " Her arms flapped around the water, letting all the sea froths  splashed onto her skin. "Oh, don't tell me you two are in a relationship?"

"What?" Jon shook his head. " Wait, gorgeous, I'll join you." He took off his shirt and his  trousers in a swift.

Josh followed him, but  Jon quickly pushed him.

 "Sorry, mate! She's mine. Keep painting, k?"

And quickly he dived into the sea.

Underwater, Jon could only see her feet and the slight figure of her, but he could tell that the woman looked definitely stunning... even from the distance

like a mermaid so diverting to be touched and to be held.  

All the underwater beauty could  not be compared to her. 

This time, Jon must confessed: the woman was  too good to be true ... 

Like a dream ... the goddess disappeared. 

Jon turned his head around. There was no sign of her. The water appeared  mundane. She must have returned to the surface, and it would be better for him to follow her as well,  but a light beneath his jaw flashed across his eyes -- drawing him onto the rock surface.

Something buried beneath the rocks. 

Back on shore, he searched for Josh to tell him about his finding, but  everyone had suddenly vanished. Josh was nowhere to be seen and even Marta.

"She's missing, eh?" A voice startled him. Jon turned around and found Josh in his shorts. 

"Apparently, but you couldn't believe what I've found, mate." Jon blurted out while putting his shirt on. "There's something in there,  like a rusty iron of a robot's head or something. We should dive in to scope it out."

"Are you insane? ..." Josh hushed him off. "You're disillusioning. Come on! A robot in a sea? " Josh trod inside, followed by Jon.

"No, I'm not. I know it sounds ridiculous. But, what if it's a real robot and someone else finds it before us? It could be a great findings of the century."

"Sssh!" Josh muted him.  His blue eyes  got darkened as he stared down to the top of cabinet where they put their CD's and videos. "Tell me Jon, how long have you known her?"

"A week. Why?"

 

 Jon knitted his brows seeing the look on his buddy's face. He followed Josh's stares. 

"Is there something wrong, mate?"

"The hell, there's. Where's our freaking stereo?!"

Jon gulped.

"Your friend apparently was quite busy, eh?" 

Jon fell backward, avoiding Josh's angry stare.

"Where's the car key? She's probably not far yet." 

"I- I put it there, on the top of the cabinet. "

"REALLY?" Now. Josh could not keep his voice low. 

"Y-yeah... B-but... she couldn't have.. . M-MARTA?!"

"You're welcome, boys." Marta smiled as she cantered to a red Ferrari parked across the street , far from Jon's and Josh's bird view.  As she grabbed the handle, she pleasantly smelled the nice aroma of the new brand car.

"You're so wet, girl!" Carolina shouted from the driver's seat. She let the door open so Marta could get inside quickly.

"Yeah, I'm going to miss that top and short, but this clothes is fine too."

 Carolina smiled. "Had fun?"

"Yeah..." Marta giggled as she glanced to the rear view mirror and found Jon's stereo was sitting on the back seat.  "I'd rather stick to your usual plan, though.  I'll let you do the distraction  next time while I'm going in to grab the stuffs."

"You go, girl!"

"Where are we going now, Carolina?"

"Where do you think? Those boys may have called the police by now. I have changed the platform so they will not recognize it. In the mean time, what do you think about  France?"

"France? I'm dying to get new clothes."

"Then, France here we comes!" Carolina stomped on the pedal gas harder. "Let's be it!"

Jon bowed, sitting on a chair. His hands folded together on his thighs, asking for a redemption to his old buddy.  "At least we can go  and check it out. Maybe it's a treasure after all, mate."

Jon smiled. It was  robot and it seemed everything would turn out fine.

Josh couldn't take his hands off the robot, though.He felt like Sam, the hero in Transformers movie,

and no matter how hard Jon  tried to warn him, Josh took his screwdriver and completely refused Jon's idea to wait until someone from Landgraab Science facility came.

"Hm, Okay this red wire is connected to this, but what is this green wire for?" Josh mumbled as he examined the robot carefully. He wondered whether the robot was still in its good condition or not, especially considering it was buried in the deep sea. There's no chance it's still working, but what if it could speak like Bumblebee or Megatron? No, forget about Megatron! He would be better not have found it if it was a vicious robot from outer space. 

But what if it really was a robot with a mission like Megatron? 

What if came to earth to terminate simanity?

Josh stepped back as he noticed electricity flow around the robot's body. But nothing happened, only a cloud of smoke came out of it. Josh booed at it. 

"Is that all you can do, Megatron?"

Josh should not have talked that way.

The robot swirled around, destroying every object around it.  Ducking his head and screamed like a girl, Jon kept  assuring himself that it was only nightmare. First, it's a woman... than it's a robot!

Suddenly it stopped. Red light flashed on the robot's eyes, and then it bounced up after reaching front door. Still with shaking hands, Jon and Josh followed the robot outside.

They could only see the robot's feet, floating up in the air.

Inside, everything was in a huge mess. They lost their stereo, their new Ferrari and now... their boat.

"There's a good thing, though." Jon said.  "What else could be worse?" 

Josh sighed but then quickly grabbed his bike.

"Hey, Mate, where are you going?"

"Get the robot, C'mon. We still could catch him."

Jon hesitated, but as he saw Josh speeding away, he reached for his bike also.

"Maybe things will get better after this." Jon assured himself.

"I only wanted a woman ... not a robot... Well...

maybe....it  will not get worse than this."

Could you believe that this was caused by  a glitch... ?  Whenever I sent them to go here and there, they  flew.  It's all my fault though (too much mods), not the game

Apparently, Jon could not forget about Marta.
